Access, Equity & Anti-Discrimination

Boost Child Abuse Prevention & Intervention acknowledges that individuals from diverse communities and equity-seeking groups may encounter barriers to full participation in organizational structures, programs and social services. Boost is committed to working to eliminate these barriers.

At Boost Child Abuse Prevention & Intervention, we are dedicated to a policy of access, equity and anti-discrimination that recognizes the rights, dignity and value of every individual. We believe that everyone has the right to live, learn and work in an environment free from discrimination and harassment. We strive to foster a climate for children/youth and families, as well as our staff, students and many volunteers, that reflect these important principles. In particular, we seek to promote mutual respect and to integrate access, equity and anti-discrimination in all aspects of the organization and its operations.

We do this by regularly reviewing our programs and services and by making changes as necessary to further promote the goals of equity, access and anti-discrimination. We inform children/youth and families that we work with that they have the right to have choices and participate in making decisions about the services they receive, seeking their input and giving them a voice in the process.

Boost also applies the principles of equity, access and anti-discrimination to its hiring practices and volunteer selection and we strive to be inclusive of as many diverse communities and equity-seeking groups cultures as possible. We seek to ensure that all members of our Boost community feel supported, valued and respected.
