Chris Hind is a Managing Director with CIBC World Markets Inc., and Head of the Financial Sponsors Group. Chris has held a number of positions within CIBC since joining in 1997. Most recently, Chris was Deputy Head of M&A and during 11 years with the M&A Group Chris advised some of North America’s leading corporations and private equity funds on numerous public and private, domestic and cross-border transactions in the telecommunications, technology, media, power and utilities, mining and industrial sectors. Additionally, Chris worked for 3 years in the CIBC Merchant Banking Group where he acted as a principal in several subordinated debt and equity investments in LBO and growth financing transactions.
Mr. Hind received his Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree from Queen’s University and Masters of Business Administration degree (Gold Medalist) from the University of Toronto. He also holds his Chartered Accountant’s designation and is a member of the Canadian and Ontario Institutes of Chartered Accountants.
