Laura Dowsley joined the Boost Board in 2011 and is a member of the Communications Committee. Laura has worked for the provincial government since 2003 where she has held various positions including Senior Policy Advisor to the Minister of Community and Social Services and most recently as a Senior Policy Advisor to the Minister of Finance.
From 2005 to 2010 Laura also worked as a relief worker with the Toronto Police Victim Services Program. In this role, Laura worked one on one with victims of crime ranging from child abuse and domestic violence to assaults and homicides.
In 2010, Laura completed a Master’s degree in Critical Disability Studies at York University.
Laura has also been an active volunteer in other community activities, serving in the past with the MS Society, Mount Sinai Hospital and Parkinson Society.
