Go Purple for Prevention

October is child abuse prevention and awareness month and Boost is launching its 7th annual Go Purple for Prevention! Campaign. The campaign is held each year to raise awareness and provide education to prevent abuse and violence in the lives of children and youth. Boost is very excited to be partnering with the Humber Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning,University of Guelph-Humber once again, to raise awareness of child abuse.

“Boost believes that child abuse can be prevented by educating adults about how to keep kids safe and by teaching children how to get help when needed,” said Karyn Kennedy, Executive Director of Boost. “The Go Purple for Prevention! Campaign was developed to reach out to parents, caregivers and educators to be proactive about recognizing high risk situations.”
