The Child Victim Witness Support Program is for any child or youth who may testify in a criminal court proceeding.
Court preparation and support is offered through three sites across Ontario; Toronto, Barrie and Peterborough and staff are able to provide services in locations and courthouses across the Central Region, including Barrie, Peterborough, Midland, Orillia, Bradford, Huntsville, Bracebridge, Collingwood, Lindsay, Cobourg, Brighton, as well as York and Durham regions when required. Individual service is available to children and youth, and their support person.
Children and their adult support people in Toronto may attend a group for four consecutive weeks. Groups are offered every other month. All program staff are trained professionals in the areas of child abuse and criminal court proceedings.
