Caregiver Testimonials

"Hello reader!

As a visitor to this site you are likely looking for information about Boost. You may want to know what they offer, or may be wondering if Boost is the place for you to help with your situation.

As a parent, I have found Boost to be a very integral part of our families’ healing and growth process. Right from the start, we all felt comforted not only by kind words of support but also by a feeling of not being alone.

The staff refer to themselves as kid helpers - a name perfectly suited for what they do. Upon my children’s very first visit, they were each given a security blanket and a stuffed dog named Cory. They were walked to a cabinet where they got to choose their own snacks and they got to enjoy a playroom while the grown ups had a meeting.

During our "grown up" meeting, we were offered resources and support, but most importantly we were offered a team of wonderful, kind people who understood, and seemingly felt, our hurt. One part of Boost’s approach that I like most is their warmth. It has never felt clinical. We left that first meeting feeling as if we were on the right track, that we were being treated as individuals, and that we had made the right choice.

Here are some quotes I'd like to share with you. I asked my family what they felt about their experience with Boost. Here’s what they had to say:
"I never thought anything positive could come from something so personally heavy."
"I feel grateful that Boost could do something so important for my children."
"Thank you very much for taking care of me and keeping me safe."
"Boost is really helpful and makes me feel safe."

Making a decision about where to go or who to talk to is very difficult. Everyone needs to find their own comfort level and feel out what suits them best.

Based on my families’ involvement with Boost, my honest opinion is that there is no place better than - or parallel to - Boost and what they offer."
