Pacific Centre Family Services Association and Mary Manning Centre are hosting a two day international conference: Child Sexual Abuse: Advances in Specialised Interventions. This conference taking place in Victoria, BC November 19-20th, 2008 is targeted for professionals who have responsibilities for this area of social concern and its impact on the health and welfare of our communities, to share and advance knowledge, understanding and policymaking. Internationally renowned researchers will be delivering keynote presentations, along with a number of workshops to enable participants to develop and explore their skills in therapeutic interventions in this area. We also have panels for discussion of the political environment governing our endeavours in this important area. Evening activities include celebrating 10 years of progress since the conference exploring sexual exploitation of youth through presentations and discussion with survivors.
