Welcome to BOOST - Child Abuse Prevention & Intervention

Every year BOOST offers programs and services to more than 1000 children, youth and their families to prevent abuse or provide support when abuse or violence has occurred. We are dedicated to the promotion of healthy children, youth, families and communities. As one of the most comprehensive service providers in Toronto, we offer prevention and public education programs, trauma assessment and support, court preparation and public advocacy for child abuse and violence prevention.

If you suspect that a child is at risk or is being abused, you have a legal responsibility to report your concerns to a Children's Aid Society (CAS). You can call to consult if you are not sure and the CAS worker will decide if your concerns need to be investigated. You can also report anonymously if you wish. You can find the number in your local phone book.

You are invited to join us to remember youth victims of violence and find hope through music, dance, poetry and other creative expression.

Boost will be launching a national prevention campaign this fall entitled, "It’s Natural to Protect". The campaign materials were developed by a group of students at Seneca College in the "Graphic Design for Social Change" program. The campaign is based on the concept that animals intuitively take care of their young and vulnerable members and that humans can learn a great deal from this simple message. The campaign materials were created in partnership with Toronto Police Service and other community agencies and Boost has been given exclusive permission to use these materials in support of child abuse prevention month in October.

We are seeking sponsorship for the campaign and plan to provide the campaign materials (posters, bookmarks, t-shirts) to schools, colleges, universities, community organizations, child protection agencies, corporations and police services across Canada. Sponsors will have their logo prominently displayed on all materials and will receive an invitation to the media press conference on September 25 at Toronto Police Headquarters. For more information on sponsorship and the campaign, please contact Siew Lee Brett at 416.515.1100 ext. 224 or e-mail:
