Go Purple For Prevention Campaign!

Boost recently launched a national prevention campaign entitled, "It's Natural to Protect" at Toronto Police Service Headquarters. This year's Go Purple for Prevention campaign features three posters designed by Seneca College students, in partnership with the Toronto Police Service's Community Mobilization Unit, that promote prevention messages and were developed to target prevailing social issues. The topics of the posters, include, "It's Natural to Protect," "It's Natural to Guide," and "It's Natural to Teach".

October is Child Abuse Prevention Month. Educating adults, children & youth on key prevention strategies is the major goal of Boost's Go Purple for Prevention Campaign launched across Ontario on October 1st.
Over 60 municipalities in Ontario have pledged their support of this important campaign for child abuse prevention and planned special events in their communities to raise awareness of this issue.

Boost will kick off this year's campaign at the Toronto Maple Leafs Hockey Game at the Air Canada Centre on Saturday, October 4. Volunteers will be distributing buttons and collecting donations before the game. Fans and supporters of Boost are encouraged to wear purple to the game and acknowledge the need for everyone to keep kids safe. The Leafs Fund for Kids is a long time supporter of Boost.

One of the fundraising initiatives of this awareness campaign is the introduction of the Boost Bracelet for the very first time.
