CYAC Foundations provides a comprehensive introduction to the Child & Youth Advocacy Centre model and the principles of multidisciplinary collaboration. This training explores the essential components of an effective CYAC, including coordinated investigations, child protection, medical response, advocacy, governance and information sharing.
Through interactive case studies, practical examples and multidisciplinary discussions, participants gain an understanding of how each discipline contributes to a coordinated, child-centred response and how these components work together to improve outcomes for children, youth and families.
Organizations can build their learning experience by selecting the training modules that align with their community's needs, stage of development and multidisciplinary team priorities. Whether building a new Child & Youth Advocacy Centre, strengthening an existing multidisciplinary team, or enhancing discipline-specific practice, KITE's flexible training model allows communities to create a customized learning pathway that supports their unique goals.
